Lancelot Ribeiro

About

Lancelot Ribeiro (1933 – 2010) was an Expressionist painter, best known for his experiments with polyvinyl acetate and oil paints, the forerunner of modern acrylic paints. Born in Bombay (Mumbai), Ribeiro first travelled to Britain in 1950.

In 2017, I was employed as a digital archivist and website designer and developer for the Retracing Ribeiro project, a year-long Heritage Lottery-funded project exploring Ribeiro’s legacy. The project was a huge success, and in the months that followed, I was invited by Marsha Ribeiro, Ribeiro’s daughter, to re-design lancelotribeiro.com.

Nicholas Hart’s websites entice, tease and delight the senses, giving the visitor an utterly inspirational experience.
